Dr Boey Sean Kuan is a consultant dental surgeon at Kong Dental Surgery whose practice is exclusively focused on Periodontics (gums). She comes with over 15 years of experience in private practice.

She graduated from the University of Adelaide, Australia, with a double degree – a Bachelor of Dental Surgery and 1st class Honours in the Bachelor of Science in Dentistry program.

Recognising her keen interest in Periodontology and Dental Implantology, she pursued advanced training in the field, earning a Master of Dental Surgery (Periodontology) from the National University of Singapore.

Dr Boey made her mark on an international audience through her research and publications even when she was just a Periodontology resident. She won the 2nd prize in the inaugural European Federation of Periodontology (EFP) Innovation Award for Digital Solutions for Gum Health. She presented original posters at the 10th EuroPerio (Copenhagen, Denmark), 14th Asia Pacific Society of Periodontology Meeting (Bangkok, Thailand) and the European Association for Osseointegration (Geneva, Switzerland).

In her undergraduate years, she was granted the Dental Board of South Australia Research Scholarship and completed her Honours project in collaboration with the National University of Singapore with a special interest in Laser Dentistry.

In addition, Dr Boey was chosen as an ambassador of the prestigious Colgate-Palmolive Travel Award Scholarship to Bristol University, United Kingdom. She also was on the Dean’s List and the 2nd prize winner for the ADA/Dentsply Student Clinician Program.

Currently, Dr Boey is licensed to practice in Singapore, Australia and the United Kingdom. She is also is an accredited Invisalign provider and certified operator for Lasers.

Dr Boey is an existing member of the Singapore Periodontology Society, Singapore Dental Association, Australian Dental Association, Golden Key International Honour Society and the American Dental Association, Student Clinician Program.
